Enantioselective Dihalogenation of Alkenes

نویسندگان

چکیده

The dihalogenation of alkenes is one the classic reactions in organic chemistry and a prime example an electrophilic addition reaction. often observed anti-selectivity this reaction can be explained by formation haliranium-ion intermediate. Although dihalogenations have been studied for more than century, development reagent-controlled, enantioselective has proved to very difficult. Only recently, significant progress achieved. In review, overview on current method provided mechanistic aspects that render transformation challenging are discussed.

Rhodium-catalyzed enantioselective cyclopropanation of electron deficient alkenes.

The rhodium-catalyzed reaction of electron-deficient alkenes with substituted aryldiazoacetates and vinyldiazoacetates results in highly stereoselective cyclopropanations. With adamantylglycine derived catalyst Rh2(S-TCPTAD)4, high asymmetric induction (up to 98% ee) can be obtained with a range of substrates. Computational studies suggest that the reaction is facilitated by weak interaction be...

Catalytic, Enantioselective, Intramolecular Sulfenofunctionalization of Alkenes with Phenols

The catalytic, enantioselective, cyclization of phenols with electrophilic sulfenophthalimides onto isolated or conjugated alkenes affords 2,3-disubstituted benzopyrans and benzoxepins. The reaction is catalyzed by a BINAM-based phosphoramide Lewis base catalyst which assists in the highly enantioselective formation of a thiiranium ion intermediate. The influence of nucleophile electron density...

Enantioselective Rhodium(III)-Catalyzed Markovnikov Hydroboration of Unactivated Terminal Alkenes

We report the first enantioselective Rh-catalyzed Markovnikov hydroboration of unactivated terminal alkenes. Using a novel sp2-sp3 hybridized diboron reagent and water as a proton source, a broad range of alkenes undergo hydroboration to provide secondary boronic esters with high regio- and enantiocontrol.

Enantioselective CuH-Catalyzed Anti-Markovnikov Hydroamination of 1,1-Disubstituted Alkenes

Enantioselective synthesis of β-chiral amines has been achieved via copper-catalyzed hydroamination of 1,1-disubstituted alkenes with hydroxylamine esters in the presence of a hydrosilane. This mild process affords a range of structurally diverse β-chiral amines, including β-deuterated amines, in excellent yields with high enantioselectivities. Furthermore, catalyst loading as low as 0.4 mol% c...

Catalytic, Enantioselective, Intramolecular Sulfenoamination of Alkenes with Anilines

A method for the catalytic, enantioselective, intramolecular sulfenoamination of alkenes with aniline nucleophiles has been developed. The method employs a chiral, Lewis basic selenophosphoramide catalyst and a Brønsted acid co-catalyst to promote stereocontrolled C-N and C-S bond formation by activation of an achiral sulfenylating agent. Benzoannulated nitrogen-containing heterocycles such as ...
